In 2026, Loughborough University hosted the National Student Television Awards (NaSTA), a prestigious event celebrating student media across the UK.

For the opening sequence, I developed a program to create laser sequences based off of SVG Sequences, allowing me to sync the laser up to a custom visual on the screen. After some discussion with event organisers, I created a laser burn effect, making it look like the laser was burning through the screen, cutting out the NaSTA logo. In addition I created immersive sound effects that moved with the laser, further developing the immersiveness.

Overall the sequence was celebrated multiple times by the hosts, and various judges, including Chris Cook, the Creative Director of BBC News.
