Project Outline
8 Hours is a fictional sleep wellness brand I created as the foundation for an immersive university experience tackling the UK's sleep deprivation crisis. With over 75% of adults getting less than the recommended 8 hours, the project targets the 18–24 demographic.
The experience takes place in a large sports hall during Freshers Week, where students lie on a soft mattress floor and watch an introductory animation on a ceiling-mounted LED screen. They then take a group quiz via a companion app, answering questions that range from playful to serious about their sleeping habits. At the end, they're matched to one of four personalised herbal patch variants, Power Down, Lucid Voyage, Arctic Chill, or Solar Sync.
The project spans a full brand identity, product packaging, a Figma-designed quiz app, a social media campaign using TikTok POV-style ads, and a 3D-rendered user journey map built in Blender. The visual language uses grainy gradients, bold typography, and a purple and blue palette to evoke the transition from overstimulation into calm.
